Assessor Mails County-Wide Reappraisal Notices on July 1

The Jasper County Assessors office is mailing reappraisal notices on 07/01/2011 to property owners. Those who want to contest their property values can visit www.jaspercountysc.org, click on Find it Here at the top of home page and scroll down to Assessor. The appeal application is the second link, Appeal Application.  Please fill out the application in its entirety and submit the completed form to the Jasper County Assessors Office.

Appeal forms or appeal letters must be received within 90 days of the notices or before 09/30/2011.  If the property owner fails to file a written objection within the 90 day period, the property owner forfeits his/her right to appeal the valuation. The Jasper County Council is accepting applications for the A-Tax Board, the Planning Commission, the Board of Zoning Appreals, the Aeronautic Board and the Assessement Appeals Board.  If you are interested in serving on any of the boards listed above, please fill out the form available under Find It Here  Page and return it to Judy Frank, Clerk to Council, P.O. Jasper County Farmers' Market
The Market will open this year on Friday, May 20 and will continue to operate on Fridays from 1 to 6 p.m.  The Market is located at 9935 Jacob Smart Blvd. (Hwy. 17, South) in Ridgeland.

Jasper County - NACo Prescription Discount Card Program -  County residents now have the option to print a card from the Internet for immediate use at any participating pharmacy.
